Jet Reeve Kane Scofield

6/15/05 @5:21pm Jet Reeve Kane Scofield has blessed us with his presence!
He was 7lbs 14.5oz and 19.5"

The name Jet is of no significance, we just liked it. His father is not a pilot...He is not named after a band...ect. The middle name of Reeve is of no signifance either. We just thought it sounded cool. After deciding to name him Jet Reeve we decided to add another middle name. Having two middle names is not very common, but neither is being named Jet. Well my middle name is Hillman. I was given my middle name from my Grandfather on my mothers side. Similarly, Kane is Jets Grandfathers middle name from his mothers side, much like mine. And Kane is Jets Great-Grandmothers(TuTu) maiden name. So Kane comes from his Grandfather. Many on the Chapin side of the family have a Hawaiian middle name. We didn't want to give him a Hawaiian name, but we thought it served dual purposes to be named after his Grandfather and also remind him of his Hawaiian lineage.

This picture is after the IVs and epidural. This part of labor wasn't real intense. I guess you could call it peaceful. Well "dad" would call it that.

Morée may not appreciate me showing this picture, but I liked it. After all this time baby Jet and Mother Morée meet. Very emotional picture.

I was interested to see what Morée was carrying around this whole time. After all I was 10.8lbs and nursed till I was 3.

So I said to myself-"Happy Fathers Day!"

This is when I came to the waiting room to tell everyone Jet arrived. He was fashionably late according to Bicuists(Grandma Chapin) estimate of 4pm.

Here is a buttered up biscuit. She doesn't want to be called Grandma Biscuits so any suggestions will be taken.

This is Grandfather Chapin. I think he wants to be known as Grandpa, but thats to traditional I think. He should be named by his screen name of course. Coolray57. And so it was written.

This is Auntie Angela. Although she has 2 kids and one on the way this is her first nephew.

Here is the other half of Tito, Aunt Katie. She is always ready for the pictures to be taken. As if thats not obvious.

This is Grandma Ale. Named by her first Grandson Luke. I guess he figured the G went on Grandmother not Gale. Ale!

Watch out its Pops. Here Granpa Scofield looks pretty pleased to see his first Scofield baby. He will have him done up like a Royals baby in not time.

I like this picture of my family.

If you haven't had a baby before you would be surprised how the nurses handle them. Here Jet was getting a bath, but you would have thought he was getting a wip'n. Well it wasn't that bad...they are pros I guess.

Do we look tired yet? The day after brith they moved us to a different (smaller) room. They were at full capacity at the hospital. Shawnee Mission delivers 300 babies/month.

Jet says in a Napolean Dynamite voice: "I've got great skills. Chicks friggn dig me. I can take a dump and they laugh about the different colors. At first I only pooped dark colors but now I'm really trying to expand into the greens and yellows. As of late seedy dumps have been all the rage."

Did I ever mention how good of a baby sitter I am. Kids can't even wink an eye without my permission.

I am hoping he takes all of his traits from his mother...except his manhood of course. Hes got that one covered.

Here is Graty(Uncle Grant and Aunt Katie) This is the night before they drove a U-Haul all the way back to friggn El Paso Texas. I hear driving thru the desert really gets ya all pumped up. Oh look the suns out today.

Ok so this is not an alien or a robot. This is Jet at Childrens Mercy South. We received a call the day we got home that he needed to go to the hospital because he had Jaundice. He layed in the "cage" all night and when morning came we were sent home.

Babys tanning? All the new babies are doing it. He is totaly trying to impress the ladies.
